About Us

As the title Women in Power, suggests, this magazine emphasises strong, talented and brave women that our history books and modern media often leave behind. Established by me, Fenella MacLennan and based on the Sunshine Coast, it is a continuation of an assignment completed in my second year of University. Being now in my last, I wanted to create something that uses both graphic design elements and writing skills I have learnt during my degree in Visual Communication and Creative Writing.

Women in Power showcases determined women across the categories of herstory (history), sport, writing, film and music in an effort to inspire and provide role models for women of today.

As the site continues to grow, I am hoping to expand and include articles from writers all over the world, but for now, all the articles are by me.
